RECEPTIONIST

Full time – 40 hours per week

Reporting to Deputy General Manager

We currently have a vacancy for a Hotel Receptionist. Duties include welcoming guests, check-in, check-out, billing, following early and late shift procedures, taking bookings for lunch, dinner, bedroom reservations, replying to emails and other general Reception duties.

Shifts are 7am until 3.30pm and 2.30pm until 11.00pm.

FOOD & BEVERAGE ASSISTANTS

Salary: Competitive

Reporting to: Food & Beverage Manager

Hours of work: Full-time, Part-time and casual hours available, including weekends.

We currently have vacancies for waiting staff at Northumberland’s only 4 AA red star hotel working in the 2 AA rosette George Runciman Restaurant. Main duties include serving customers for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Successful applicants must have excellent customer service skills. Previous experience in waiting as well as barista skills and basic bar knowledge is required, although full training will be given to the right candidate. Own transport is required. We currently have part-time and full-time hours available; hours can vary due to the needs of the business so flexibility is important.

KITCHEN PORTER

We have an opportunity to for a hard working and motivated Kitchen Porter to join our award-winning kitchen team. Reporting to the Head Chef your role will be to keep the main kitchen and back of house and bin areas clean and tidy at all times. Tasks include ensuring all crockery is stored correctly and the surplus is stored away, carrying out planned cleaning scheduled by the supervisor to maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and associated areas.

HOUSEKEEPING ASSISTANT

Salary: Competitive

Reporting to: Head Housekeeper

Hours of work: Part-time and casual hours available, including weekends. Working hours usually 9.00am until 2.30pm (including weekends)

We are currently looking to recruit a Housekeeping Assistant to join our housekeeping team, reporting into the Head Housekeeper. The role will include daily cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas to the required standard within the time frame set out by the company. You’ll be required to perform stock checks and replenishment of consumables as well as communicating closely with the maintenance team to facilitate a smooth and enjoyable guest experience. You will need to be aware of and comply with statutory requirements regarding the work place such as health and safety, hygiene, fire prevention, manual handling and chemicals and other substances that may be hazardous to your health.

Although full training will be given, previous experience in a housekeeping role and a knowledge of C.O.S.S.H. would be advantageous. The ideal candidate will need a keen eye for detail, the ability to work alone and as part of a team and able to work flexibly over weekends and weekdays.
