TWO CHEFS FROM SOUTH EAST NORTHUMBERLAND HAVE HELPED LAND THE HOTEL WHERE THEY WORK A SECOND AA ROSETTE.

Doxford Hall Hotel has been recognised for its outstanding food and service thanks to the culinary skills of head chef Paul Blakey, from Bedlington, and sous chef Dan Curtis, from Ashington. To receive the award, a restaurant must stand out in its local area, its food should be prepared with skill and precision to consistently high standards and its chefs must pay particular attention to the quality and choice of ingredients.
Only ten per cent of restaurants in the UK are considered worthy of at least one Rosette. Paul said: “I am extremely proud that Doxford Hall has now been recognised as one of the best places for fine dining in Northumberland.
“I have the support of a great team of chefs and restaurant staff who all work extremely hard to ensure that our guests enjoy a truly memorable dining experience.
“We are all completely committed to using local food on our seasonal menus.”
