SALMON AND TROUTFISHING ON THE RIVER COQUET
Guyzance Hall has two miles of private fishing rights on the River Coquet. If you are keen to give fishing a try during your stay then their ghillie can give you all his tips on the best salmon and trout fishing spots.
Visit one of Britain’s most iconic castle, Alnwick Castle has been the film set for Harry Potter and Downton Abbey. It also has a very popular walled garden which is well worth a visit.
Catch a glimpse of the aurora borealis if you are visiting between December and April. Northumberland has an International Dark Sky Park perfect for star gazing.
With beautiful coastlines and the River Coquet, there are a range of activities available, including kite-surfing, canoeing, wake boarding, or wildlife boat trips to view grey seals.
